Metro Manila, Philippines — The effects of Typhoon Marce cut power and communication and felled trees as Cagayan hunkered down for a landfall on Thursday, Nov. 7.

As of 3 p.m., a total of 21 electric cooperatives from 18 provinces across four regions suffered from the effects of the typhoon, the National Electrification Administration (NEA) said.

“As of this posting, BATANELCO and CAGELCO II—in Batanes and Cagayan respectively—are struggling with partial power interruptions,” it said.
CAGELCO II also covers the northern tip of Cagayan.
